Design
We help you develop and design your innovative product idea. We ensure a product design that is functional and manufacturable, and we perform overall cost optimisation, simplification and assessment of product relevance and sustainability.

Electronics
We have extensive electronics for the development of your product — including assembly machines and an electronic laboratory with expert calibrated measuring instruments. Our team has in-depth knowledge of microprocessors, sensors, DSP, motor control and hardware safety and is always up-to-date on the latest technologies.

Idea development
We use our creativity and years of experience in development, innovation and consulting to help further develop and mature the idea you pitch to us. We get an overview of the idea’s potential and assess whether it is innovative and realistic, and we conduct a market analysis with a focus on demand and competitors.

Product definition
We create a mockup to validate if the product is technically manufacturable, after which we draw a sketch of the product and create a block diagram for component selection.

Prototype
Using rapid prototyping, we develop a prototype of your product. This technology is efficient and cost-effective, and since we can produce the prototypes in-house on our in-house 3D printers, we can quickly adjust and produce a new version.

Test and evaluation
We conduct extensive testing of the prototype and evaluate what changes and adjustments need to be made. We repeat this process again and again using a systematic and structured approach that continuously improves the final product.

Handover
Once we’ve found a solution that meets our requirements, we manufacture the final prototype and perform extensive testing and thorough first-time operation in our lab, as well as certification of the product. Then our work is done and your product is ready for production. You receive a complete file package that covers all mechanics and electronics for the prototype we have developed.
Rapid prototyping
Rapid prototyping is a way of developing prototypes with a focus on speed, efficiency and flexibility. We use this method by making all prototypes in-house on 3D printers, which supports the iterative process of drawing, printing, testing and doing it all over again until we are satisfied with the result.

Consultancy
Volvo
Qutron is an automotive idea, presentation and sparring partner for new environmentally friendly projects. Volvo has always had the goal of car production with consideration for people and unique car design. To help in this endeavour, Volvo has contacted Qutron in order to take advantage of the creative opportunities and profit benefits it brings in a production context.
Scania
Qutron is usually consulted to help find faults in electronic components. Or in the event that they are stuck on a task, Qutron is used as a sparring partner and problem solver.
BMW
Qutron is used as an idea sparring partner in the development of electric vehicles and redesign of existing products and components. It is Qutron’s neutral and completely independent role as an advisor that provides a unique and developing collaboration where both parties get a rewarding and innovative result.
Products we have developed
Wireless lights
Wireless rear lights for agricultural equipment. Our task was to invent and develop a method to ensure that wireless rear lights could be installed on agricultural equipment. At the same time, the wireless rear lights had to be approved according to both communication protocols and the Danish Transport Authority.
High-quality 3D printer
We use 3D printing to develop nearly finished and production-ready prototypes. Traditional 3D printers could not print in sufficiently high quality and were generally too unstable to be used in professional production. With this in mind, Qutron has developed a printer that fulfils all the requirements that a professional user has for 3D printing.
Surveillance
A competitor to existing alarm and security companies. Qutron’s solution is based on the latest technology and uses Wi-Fi and encrypted radio communication to monitor the system’s devices. We are not allowed to show finished solutions or products.
