3D printing with Qutron

3D printing in prototyping is a game-changer that speeds up product development and reduces costs while providing design freedom, flexibility and better opportunities for customer dialogue.

Qutron has in-house developed high-quality 3D printers that support our vision of offering customers prototypes that are as close to a final product as possible.

Fastest method for prototyping

In recent years, 3D printing has become a very attractive method of prototyping. Whereas prototyping used to require time and expensive tools, today’s 3D technology allows you to produce a prototype in a matter of hours.

Prototypes can be printed from a large scale (330x330x270 mm) down to the smallest detail size (0.05 mm). This allows for both large and small product types to be produced.

Sustainability

With 3D printing, you only pay for the materials you use and you only need to produce a drawing. Therefore, 3D printing supports the iterative process of drawing, printing, testing and adjusting again.

With this method, there is far less waste material than with other forms of manufacturing.

Many benefits

  • Rapid iteration and development time reduction
  • Cost savings
  • Flexibility and design freedom
  • Realistic testing of function and form
  • Customer involvement and market testing
  • Reduction of material waste
  • Integration with digital design tools
  • Possibility to experiment with material
